CVA Spectator Guidelines

Although we have not been given an official date by the Sweetwater Union High School District of when we can access the fields at CVA, we wanted to share with you the spectator guidelines that everyone must follow once we get on the fields:

All guests will be required to adhere to the rules and protocols set forth by the Sweetwater
Union High School District and Chula Vista American Little League, no exceptions. The safety of
our players and their families is our first priority.


RULES and PROTOCOLS while on SUHSD property:
1. Only two (2) spectators per participating athlete will be allowed to enter the facility. Spectators must be in
the car with the participating athlete when entering the J Street gate. Volunteers will not allow cars
through the gates if not following protocols.
2. Guests must check-in together, staggered admittance will not be allowed.
3. Each guest and player will have their temperature checked and will be asked Health Screening Questions
before entering the fields and spectator areas through the two designated entrances.
4. All spectators must complete & sign a District- Issued waiver every time they enter the facility.

5. No outside food or drink, concessions will not be open. Guests will be permitted to bring water into the
facility.
6. Guests must always remain seated, unless using the restroom. Guests will be required to bring their own
chairs.
7. No spectators allowed to sit on the bleachers or within 6 feet of the players in the dugout or on the field.
8. Guests must wear a mask that covers both, the mouth and nose at all times.
9. Social distancing of six feet will be required.
10. Guests who refuse to follow protocols will be asked to leave.
11. All spectators will need to leave the facility after their player’s game is over.

CVA Preventive Measures
o Game Day: Minimize the number of spectators on the facility at one time.
* Minimize the number of games that start at the same time to no more than three (3).
* Increase the amount of time between games from 30 minutes to one hour (60 minutes).
* Set time limit on games being played.
o Practice Days: Minimize the number of spectators on the facility at one time.
* Only schedule one team practice per field at the same time.
* No spectators on or near the fields. All spectators must remain in their cars during practice.
o Player safety:
* Temperature checks every game/practice by coach.
* Enforce mask guidelines:
*Players must wear a mask while in the dugout or when within six-feet of another player/coach (not in game action).
* No Sharing of equipment.
* Every player brings their own water.
* Sanitizing of hands at the beginning and end of each game/practice.
o Spectator safety:
* Mandatory mask guidelines for all spectators.
* Social distancing guidelines in place.
* No food or drink sales in concession stand.
* No sitting on bleachers.
* No more than 3 people in the restroom at the same time. Restrooms will be sanitized hourly.
o CVALL will comply with all local and district guidelines regarding spectators and related safety rules.
